Yeah, I know it was a dumb thing to write... but seriously, I have the hardest time deciding what font to choose. AND then I have to come up with some clever greeting. AND if that isn't enough I always feel the need (it's a compulsion really) to mix texts and change the sizing all around a million and a half times before I get it looking EXACTLY how I think it should. It sometimes takes longer for me to figure out all the "writing" stuff than it does to create the design!

Speaking of indecisiveness... I can't decide which color I like better... what do you think?

A lot of people like to get their family pictures done in the beautiful fall leaves! Unfortunately, the pictures don't always mesh so well with a red and green Christmas card theme when it comes time to send out holiday greetings. SO... I came up with this line to compliment the beautiful Autumn colors!

I always make sure my cards say "Happy Holidays" or "Seasons Greetings" instead of "Merry Christmas" - care to guess why? (I promise I'm not a Grinch or anything)

It's because I rarely send them out in time for Christmas and I figure that "holidays" and "seasons" is a catch all for the months of November through January (at least through New Years). I confess there have been years I have been tempted to throw Valentine's Day into that category as well.

It may not be proper card etiquette, but I figure that since I really don't care when I get cards from my friends and family (just as long as I GET them) maybe they don't either? I'm not planning on asking them (I like living in my bubble) so I guess I'll never know...

That being said... the wording on your holiday cards is up to you! Every element of our cards is customizable, colors, text, pictures, you name it and we'll get it done for you. BUT, if you want that "Merry Christmas" to get there in time to come to pass, you need to have your order in no later than the 1st of December!

If you are like me, than by all means, don't fret about it. Send in your order sometime before New Years and we'll get it taken care of for you - just remember to use one of my "catch all" greetings!

And if you don't make it by January... well I can always work on something with a Valentine theme. Think of it as starting a new tradition.

How it works...

Option # 1: Choose a design and have your cards printed and mailed to you.

First, choose the card design and size that you would like.

Figure out how many cards you will need. Remember that the minimum order is 24 cards. For more information on ordering check out our card pricing.

Email the pictures and any greeting you would like us to incorporate in the card design AND how many cards you would like to order to photographybyjocelin@gmail.com

***Do NOT shrink the pictures before sending them. We need them to be in as large a format as possible. Please make sure the quality is at least 300 dpi. If your pictures are in color and you would like them to be sepia or black and white - let us know - we would be happy to do that for you! If your pictures were taken by a professional photographer, we will need you to email the copyright release. We are not responsible for copyright violations.

We will then send you a paypal invoice (by email) and after payment has been processed you will receive a low resolution copy of your completed card design through email. Low resolution means that it is unprintable and the quality will look a little grainy, this is to be expected and will not show up in the final proof.

Make sure to carefully proof the card design and check for any misspellings (names are always tricky) then email back with any changes or give us the go ahead.

Once we have your o.k., we will send in the design to our professional printing lab and we will have the cards shipped directly to you.

Option #2: Purchase the design & print yourself... $15.00

First, choose a card design from our galleries.

Send (by email to PerfectPearDesign@gmail.com) your picture(s) and any information you would like printed on the card (names, greeting, etc...) along with your choice of design.

We will then send you a paypal invoice (by email) and after payment has been processed you will receive a low resolution copy of your completed card design. Low resolution means that it is unprintable and the quality will look a little grainy, this is to be expected and will not show up in the final proof.

Look over your design and make sure everything looks good (spellcheck family names, etc...).

Email us with any changes or a simple "that will do" and we will get the final design back to you in a format for printing. You are then free to take the design to a printer of your choice or print them yourselves.

*All pricing is for cards press printed on Smooth Matte paper at our professional lab.

**We are also pleased to be able to offer Pearl paper. Pearl paper is an amazing new paper that creates a stunning visual effect, giving a luminous, pearlescent appearance. If you wish to use Pearl paper for your cards, please add 30% to your total (for example if you are ordering a 24 pack of 5x7 flat cards your total on Smooth Matte paper is $36.00, for Pearl paper it would be $36.00 + $10.80 (30% of $36.oo) = $46.80.

Generally orders should be placed in packages of 24 cards.

Our minimum order requirement is one package of 24 cards.

However, we recognize that there are times when you need just a couple more and would rather not order another set of 24. Luckily our professional printer has started something new this year - single card orders (after the initial run of 24)!

The price for a single card is 50 cents over the price of the original, for example - if you are ordering a package of 24 5x5 flat cards at $1.50 each and you would like 3 more cards (totaling 27 cards) the 3 "single cards" would cost you $2.00 for each card. This is important to remember, because there comes a point when it would just be cheaper to order up to the next package of 24. Sorry about all the math... if you ever don't feel like you want to crunch the numbers, just email us at PerfectPearDesign@gmail.com and we'll do it for you!

Professional Photographers

In a perfect world we would have designed and packaged our cards months ago. Of course, in a perfect world we would also be independently wealthy and doing this for fun! Alas, the world is not perfect, so we (at this time) feel the need to offer as many options as possible in hopes of making our millions... lucky you! (Plus we really hate buying a line of cards where we only really like half of the designs)

So here is our solution... A la Carte pricing along with "catering to your every whim"... seriously, if you like a design, but need a different color scheme (some colors can be changed by you in the photoshope layers)- we will try our hardest to please you. All you need do is ask!
Each design is $12.00. You may mix and match designs from any line in the galleries section. If you purchase 5 or more designs in a single order than the price of each design is only $10.00.

1...Visit the galleries and pick your card designs (remember you can mix and match from the different lines).
2...Email us at PerfectPearDesign@gmail.com with your choices and proof that you are indeed a professional photographer. You can do this by directing us to your business website, OR attaching a copy of your business license or tax id number, whichever is easier.
3... We will then send you a paypal invoice for $55.00 (plus tax if you live in Utah). After payment has processed, you will recieve an email which will enable you to download the designs.
4...TERMS OF USE (IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ AND MAKE SURE YOU AGREE TO ALL OF THESE BEFORE YOU PURCHASE)

a. The designs you are purchasing are layered PSD (Photoshop) files. You must have a good working knowledge of Photoshop to be able to use them. Instructions will come with the files, but we are not responsible if you do not know how to use Photoshop properly. (If you are new at this, we are happy to answer any questions you may have - we've been there too)

b. The dimensions of each card design are set to the dimensions of most professional labs (WHCC and PRODPI) in that they have a quarter inch added to the edge for bleed and possible print cutoff.

c. If you are purchasing the layered PSD designs then we expect that you are a professional photographer (meaning that you make money taking pictures) and you MUST agree to only use the designs with photographs that YOU have taken. You may not take credit for the designs or in other words pass them off as your own. I think that's pretty clear, but if you have any questions please email perfectpeardesign@gmail.com.
